Windowcare Training is part of Dapen Ltd which has been operating

as Dapen Windowcare since 2008.

We started this small business at the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008 it soon proved quite recession proof, with customers who soon realised that the misted glass could be replaced at a fraction of the cost of the whole window. The idea was for a part time business that enabled us to do other things as well. Initially we were fortunate to strike on a unique and very cheap way of getting customers, on one occasion, in just a few hours we  generated 10 sales enquiries and in fact the first job we did was worth £1000. The beauty of it was that people wanted our services. There was no hard sell. Now that we have been established a few years we have  served a customer base of  around 1600 in our local area. Most of our business is generated by this customer base either as introductions to new customer by recommendation or old customers coming back to us for further repairs or replacements. The name “Dapen” comes from both my name (David) and my wife’s (Penny). I mostly run the business alone but Penny helps with the Training Courses and is a social media advocate and has many ideas of how to reach potential customers using FaceBook and so on.. these techniques along with our combined business and practical knowledge is fully available to our trainees. Our back grounds are based in sales and marketing and project management and although our business involves a very practical hands on type of work, its my belief that anyone with a DIY kind of aptitude can learn, as I did, how to do these repairs. This knowledge combined with a few inside “tips and tricks” advice makes for a very simple to run business proposition. We look forward to welcoming you on one of our courses.

Releasing jammed windows and doors and replacement of broken or damaged parts, such as hinges, locking mechanisms, lock cases, cylinder and euro locks, handles, restrictors, stays etc. Installation of Pet flaps in both; glass double glazed units and UPVC panels. Door furniture, spy holes, door knockers, decorative handles. Child safety devices and fire escape hinges Retro-fitting multi-point door and window locks. Security upgrades; new home owners locks changed/upgraded, additional security locks and devices fitted. Service and Maintenance.
